Digital Bible Journaling Examples and Inspiration

About a year ago I was introduced to bible journaling. I love the idea of doing art in my bible and instantly ordered my supplies and got started. I have done several pages in my bible but more recently I’ve started doing bible journaling digitally. I love the versatility of doing pages digitally and I can print them out later and create wall art or a loose leaf bible.

How to Do Bible Journaling Digitally

I thought I’d share some of my digital bible journaling creations with you paper crafters for inspiration for your own bible journaling. These are the 5 most recent pages I’ve done. I’ve thought about putting together a tutorial for digital bible journaling but I wasn’t sure if anyone would be interested. If you think it’s something you’d like to see, let me know in the comments.

I Have Loved you With an Everlasting Love Digital Bible Journaling Scripture Art

All of the pages were done on an iPad Pro with the procreate app. I love procreate for creating hand lettering. I occasionally use it to make SVG files too. Procreate is also great for making art. It comes with tons of brushes perfect for digital bible journaling.

He Will Cover You With His Feathers Digital Bible Journaling Scripture Art

I love to add a grunge effect to the journaling pages I make. Even if they’re done digitally it makes them look more realistic. Adding grunge also helps to cover up any imperfections or mistakes.

He Is Risen Easter Digital Bible Journaling Scripture Art

Pages turn out so vibrant when I color them digitally. I love adding ombre effects and highlighting text or a verse within the page.

Genesis It Was Good Digital Bible Journaling Scripture

Procreate has an amazing nebula brush that makes it easy to design a galaxy with very little effort. And the result is stunning.

The Lord Blesses his People with Peace Digital Bible Journaling Page Scripture

Some pages I like to keep simple to add to the drama and the effect of a particular verse. I do this if a particular scripture is really important in my life at the moment. If I really love a verse and a page I’ve done I will get it printed on photo paper so I can put it on the wall. It is so inspirational to look at them everyday.
