I recently had the pleasure of throwing a murder mystery dinner party with my cousin. The party was so much fun and everyone really got into their parts. I was surprised that it went so well as I was really expecting that some people wouldn’t want to participate. To get everyone into the mood early we sent out some lovely masquerade mask invitations with a copy of the “rules” book and a copy of that persons character, a description of that character and what they should wear to the mystery party. What better way to get your guests into the mood of the party than by sending themed invites.
The invites were really quite pretty and I think and super easy to make using supplies from my stash. The inside was printed on plain copy paper with a fancy design around it and had all of the fabulous party details. The inside was glued to a gatefold piece of cardstock to create the card. We made a perfectly sized little wrap and glued the mask onto it to keep the card shut. The rules book and character descriptions were printed on card stock and placed in the back of the wrap behind the card. Easy peasy!
