Alright paper crafters and scrapbookers, we will be starting a new series here on the blog of sketch to scrapbook pages. Every week I will create one sketch, post it and turn it into a physical scrapbook page. You guys are more than welcome to join in and leave your own scrapbooking pages in the comments.

I love looking at scrapbooking sketches. They really help to inspire me to create new layouts. I love incorporating different size photos and embellishments in layouts I make so seeing sketches is super helpful for figuring out how everything will fit. The first sketch is a simple layout with two 4″ x 4″ pictures.

I created my layout with a very vintage feel since I wanted to use it to incorporate some old photos. I began by painting the background with a little acrylic paint and then adding strips of paper to the center. I mounted hte photos and then began embellishing. I kept the title simple because it didn’t want it to be the focus of the page.

The paper collection is from Teresa Collins. It is a beautiful line called Vintage Finds. I’ve used it in a mini album before and I loved it so much that I have made several layouts with the left overs.

The finished layout mixes a little bit of new with a little bit of old. The white wash background really adds a layer of pop and helps the rest of the page to stand out. Don’t forget to add some embellishments to the outside corners of the page for even more interest.

Feel free to share your own creations in the comments section.

Alright paper crafters and scrapbookers, we will be starting a new series here on the blog of sketch to scrapbook pages.
