To start off, I did the sketch. Lots of bright colors which I stuck to. I wanted to do a line of brightly colored stars to match the background on the side of the card.<\/p>\n

My actual card turned out quite similar to the sketch. I sprayed the background with bright sprays and cut several stars out of some colored card stock. For the sentiment I printed the Mom clip art onto vellum and embossed it with clear embossing powder to set it. I added some washi tape to the top and bottom of the vellum because I didn’t like the raw edges.<\/p>\n

Up close you can see that the clear embossing that I did to the sentiment adds some nice texture to the card. I attached the die cut stars with some foam mounting squares for depth.<\/p>\n

This is a really cute little clip art file. It looks hand written. Inside the ZIP folder there are two versions of this file, a JPG and a transparent background PNG. You can use the PNG\u00a0as an overlay on your photos or print it out and use it as a sentiment like I did here. It’s also a fun piece to print directly onto journaling cards and use in Project Life.<\/p>\n
